While I went to the underground station. I also passed a traffic bridge. Then arrived the station and take some photos. I choose 4 photos to drawn pictures and add them in my map. In the end I finish my map.

As the requirement on the brief. I made a small rectangular frame to take photographs. Use the frame to take pictures is interesting. Like a picture which hinging on the wall. I started from my home, the destination is the underground station.

Frist I walked to the turret library. Pass by the convenience store, which beside the gate. I used go there by some food or vegetable. I record the feeling and what I saw in this place. then I continue to next place.

Before I start drawing my outcome, I take some photos and drawn some draft on them. In this way to drawn drafts can help me to decide the place which the character will sit. I put some books on my desk and take some photos to design the stage. All of the story will happened in front of the desk and on the desk.

The second page is not the first vision. The first vision cannot connect to the page one very well. But this vision give me a idea. I realize I can use some art works to be the reference. Then I choose “The scream” and “The Persistence of Memory”.
Those two drawings give help to make the expression for character and to drawing some background.

Above all, this storyboard for me is successful. I spend time to research and making the outcome. Although, It still have some flaws. The stage can have many different plan to make, but there are just a desk to be the stage of the story. In the future I might can choose a bigger stage.

For this storyboard, I find to animation to be the reference. My idea is also get some inspire from this two animation.

The story for those two animation is have a same part, both of them is a normal and real story might happen in the real life. And they also both use a exaggerate way to express it. Homework is same, so I choose it.

My theme is about homework. So I take some photo about my desk and homework to be the research. I plan to mix photos and drawn to be my storyboard. I want to make a story about a student worried his homework.

Most students have worry same problem, the homework. So I want to make a storyboard about it, to express how students worry about homework. I get the idea from an animation called Afternoon class. It showed some students are sleepy in the class, and it use exaggeration and metaphor way to performance how sleepy are the students. That is why I decide homework to be my theme. It is something can make people identify.

When people first saw her work, I feel confused. They might cannot understand what she wanted to express. If you ask me what I think about what she thinking when she make the work. I will say most of her works are too hard to understand. Just saw them one time cannot know what she what to saying. But I still have something can tell about it. The tent like a little bed, she is trying to let the people who watching this object, let herself to remember those people. People might look at this work then think of some people they slept with, or some people is important for them. Some very bad things happened on her when she was a child. Some people who can slept with her might be some people her trust and love. And in my opinion, the work try to let people do not neglect other people, do not just think them self. That is my reflections about the works.

I made a mind map to help me to find my idea for my project. It help me more easy to find my idea. Finally, I decide “homework” to be my theme for my project. The process for thinking this idea as shown in the image.

In my opinion I have achieved my aim in general. However, comparing with the proposal, there are some differences in the process to do my final outcome. First, I use the software of CSP (Clip Studio Paint) instead of the After Effects to make my animation. The software which named CSP(Clip Studio Paint) can do most job if people what to make an animation. Second, when I finish the animation, I want to use Premiere to add an background music, but 20 second is too short to find an appropriate music for this animation. So I had to abandon this idea, and this the reason why I did not use the Premiere.

 The story of the final animation has lots of different part comparing with the first version. First version of the story said about my life, about how and why I love animation, and what let me become a person who wants to learn animation. But later I noticed that this story is not a good story, it is a boring story and it cannot be added some new ideas in it, that means if I want to use this story to make animation, it is hard to draw it. When I was searching the references for the story, I found that a few of valuable references can help me. Then I asked Paul for help, Paul patiently and kindly help me found the important part in this story. This is the reason for me to abandon the story of the first version. Then I changed the story to tell my experience in primary school. I thank her kind help.Without her help, I might not found a good story for my outcome.

I can say I get to my aim, the outcome maybe is not perfect but is not bad. In next time, I will let the frame more exquisite. I would like to practice my drawing skill to get to this aim. I know there are some improvement opportunities in the animation for limited time. Maybe next time I can make it longer and better. I would like to add more effect such as sound, music and etc.

About the outcome, I think it is good. It explained a story, in my opinion, it reflect the Theme and the transform project. And the story is adapted by my experience in the primary school, actually it is my story but I use a new character to tell this story. Because this story is about a child, so I use a very sample style to be my animation style, that can imitation kid’s drawing. The story told that a boy transfer to another school, but he did not have a good time in this school. One of teachers did not like him, so she always used verbal abuse to him. And many students bullied him, however, with help form his friend, his teacher who taught his Chinese and his family, he grown up and became a normal boy. I think is a good story for an animation, so it is good. But this animation still have some problem. First I wanted to add voice-over in this animation, but this animation is too short to add the voice, so finally I had to abandon this idea. Another problem is that some framers are not very clear, and the speed is a little fast. Next time I can change the speed of the video, and make the framers more clear. So this is a good outcome for me, and I spent lots of time to prepare it. So it is not perfect, but I tried my best to let it become a good animation.

Finally I chose the animation to be my final outcome. I chose this way to be my outcome is because I think it can clearly explain my theme. And my major is animation. The story is about a boy bullied in the primary school, and how he change himself to solve this problem. This story is revised by my experience in my primary school. I made this animation because I want tell other people do not be the person who bullied others. And trying to tell people how to change themselves to get out of the condition. I chose the animation to be my outcome, so I find some photos about kids in the library about when they feel unhappy or they did not feel good. This photos might can give me some ideas, I get some reference and try to think why they feel not very well, why they are crying. Not just the photos about they feel bad, I also find some photos just about the kids, no mater what kind of feeling, the mood that children in the photo. I want to find some about the normal kids, what the normal live for the kids which did not get bullied. So I did all this things to be my research and to be the reference for my project.
